Gyeongbokgung Palace

Day 6

On our 6th day, we visited the main and largest palace of the Joseon Dynasty, Gyeongbokgung or the Gyeongbok palace. This palace served as the home of Kings of Joseon dynasty, the Kings' household, as well as the government of Joseon. (source: Wikipedia)

The palace ground was huge! It was a cold day at -7C, so it was a bit of a struggle to walk with nowhere to escape the cold. So with the hope of keeping ourselves warm, we kept walking. We bought our tickets and checked the throne hall, the king/queen/crown prince quarters and other buildings. 

Out of Time in Nami Island

Day 5

After stuffing our faces, we headed for the 'immigration' booth and bought our tickets-slash-visa for Namiseom. We boarded the boat that brought us to the island - a boat ride that lasted just under 10 minutes.

And..we arrived at Nami Island!!! Yay!

It was quarter before 5. Great. A few hours left to explore the island. So off we went. We saw cute stuff, art installations and awesome stores that sell even more cute stuff! They even have their own bank! Can you believe it? So adorable! Lol.
